There never seems to be any shortage of Disney releases when it comes to Funko. It’s refreshing to see some more Disney Parks figures designed to tug on the nostalgic heart strings. The Haunted Mansion ride, as well as the film adaptation, has a place in the heart of many Disney fans as well as within the pop culture cannon. So many fans want to get their hands on these creepy-yet-cute releases-- and for good reasons! The colouring, the molds, and the detail all looks incredible.
There’s no guarantee which online retailers will get their hands on these exclusives, so be on the lookout. (Keep your eye on the Ozzie Collectables Latest Additions page. You never know!)
Looking for a little more adventure? A new Splash Mountain three pack is also on the way. Featuring Br’er Beat, Br’er Fox, and Br’er Rabbit, this gorgeous and highly detailed new release celebrates the iconic Splash Mountain Disneyland ride and the film Song of the South. It will be available first at Disneyland Resort this month (August) and elsewhere online later in the month, so keep an eye out!

With all the changes going on around Disney - whether you’re talking about changes to the company, the parks, the Fox merger, of even just the film standards - it’s important that fans find common ground and remember what brings us all together in the first place. Fandoms from all walks of life, cosplay, princesses, Halloween and holiday themed fun: these are the things that make up the magic of Disney and encourage fans to keep coming back. For many, these rides are a point of deep nostalgia. Disney is the cultural zeitgeist that sees fans from all over the world joining together to celebrate something that makes them happy. And I for one am excited to see even more releases as new anniversaries pop up to celebrate!

Pop: UP - Carl & Ellie (BoxLunch)

Pop! Rides: Moana - Moana & Pua on boat (BoxLunch)

Pop!: Toy Story - Chuckles (Amazon)

Pop!: Toy Story - Mr. Pricklepants (Hot Topic)

As always, there is no guarantee which exclusives will be available to which retailers, but it's always worth keeping an eye out. My faves are definitely the Moana Ride and the UP 2-pack. What do you think?

This was a big one. Whilst a lot of fans have been (rightfully) complaining about the latest flood of Dragon Ball Z releases, the hardcore DBZ collectors have been rushing to add these new figures to their carts in order to keep up with the complete collection. A few of the London Toy Fair releases were exciting to see, especially considering the hype surrounding Dragon Ball Super: Broly, but this was undoubtedly the cream of the crop when it comes to these releases. A 6” ECCC exclusive, it was refreshing to see a new character depicted in vinyl for this range. Fans who loved the two Shenron releases back in 2018 will be hyped to know that this dragon is just as vibrant, in a bright green paint that really ties together any Dragon Ball Z collection. This may be my favourite release of 2019 so far.
It’s still available here for those of you who missed out, or here in an Ozzie mystery bundle deal so that you can get your hands on another ECCC exclusive release, too!
Little Mermaid - Ariel (Sail Dress) US Exclusive Pop! Vinyl

Back in January we saw our first wave of Little Mermaid Pop! Vinyl figures in years, proving that Funko’s Disney license won’t be hitting brick walls any time soon. With this release, we finally get a look at the titular princess as she appears in her first scene as a human on the beach, in her makeshift sail-and-rope dress. I just can’t help but stare lovingly at this one and picture her reunited with a Pop! Prince Eric as he escorts her to their forever after castle. Dreamy sighs all around!
She’s currently on pre-order for $18.99.
Stan Lee - Patina Pop! Vinyl

No news hit harder in 2018 than the news of Stan Lee’s passing. A real life superhero and Marvel legend, it seems only fitting that many fans are happy to honour his memory in the form of a patina Pop! Vinyl. This release was heart warming for many reasons, but especially considering how hard it has been in the past for fans to get their hands on other Stan Lee releases.
This one is still in stock now for $18.99.
Pokemon - Charmander Pop! Vinyl [RS]

2018 saw Funko expand their licensing in the way of starting a new Pokemon line, but after only one initial release (the 4” Target exclusive Pikachu) fans have been hungry for more. A pattern began to emerge early in the year with yet another Pokemon starter release-- this time Bulbasaur-- but fans have been eager to get their hands on some other beloved favourites. After months of waiting, fans were excited to finally see a new addition to this line in the form of a favourite fire-type starter: Charmander!
I don’t know about other fans, but I for one am overjoyed about this one. It really has me thinking about the possibilities that this line has. Here’s hoping for a 6” Charizard next! (After they release Squirtle, of course.)
You can still grab it here for $18.99.
Green Lantern - Green Lantern & Batman Jim Lee US Exclusive Comic Moment Pop! Vinyl [RS]

The Jim Lee line of DC Pop! Deluxe figures are nothing short of gorgeous, and this Green Lantern & Batman Comic Moment really ups the ante! DC fans were excited to see this one. It’s bigger than the other Jim Lee releases and boasts amazing texturing and detail. Time to clear off room on the shelf…
You can pre-order it here for $54.99.
Lilo & Stitch - Lilo in Hula Skirt US Exclusive Pop! Vinyl [RS]

Another classic Disney favourite, 2019 so far is shaping up to be a great year for fans of Lilo and Stitch. I love this one for a number of reasons, but mainly because it calls back to that beautiful opening sequence where we first meet Lilo in her hula skirt.
You can grab here here for $18.99.
Shazam - Shazam Pop! Vinyl

This is one release that is definitely worth the hype!
It seems appropriate that the original “Captain Marvel” be making the rounds this month. The ages-old DC character has finally come to the big screen, and if Zachary Levi’s hype is any indicator, his rise to Pop! Vinyl fame is just as exciting.
Just say the word, and it’s yours for $18.99!
Scooby Doo - Scooby & Haunted Mansion Pop! Town

Another great new Funko line we’ve seen this year is the Pop! Town range. My favourite so far has been the Scooby Doo Haunted Mansion Pop! Town figure, mainly because it reminded me so strongly of going on the ride at Movieworld as a kid…
It’s an incredible figure with lots of detail, and even comes with a Scooby Doo figure, so you can practise running from all the masked creeps and ghouls that are surely hiding out inside of this new figure…
It’s available here for $49.99.
BTS - US Exclusive Pop! Vinyl 7-Pack [RS]

This release has been in talks for a while, and finally saw a release for New York Toy Fair in late February. Also available on their own, you can purchase the entire BTS crew as a massive 7-pack Pop! Vinyl! Talk about needing shelf space.
I’m a sucker when it comes to boxes, and I know that a lot of other collectors have an affinity for packaging, too. This one struck me as particularly creative, and it almost looks like the BTS boys are on stage, ready for a show! It’s perfect for K-Pop fans and enthusiastic Pop! Collectors alike. This one, for me, was a winner in every way.
Grab it here for $132.99.
The Office - Dwight Schrute Pop! Vinyl

Lastly-- but certainly not least-- I am pleased to announce that Funko’s new release wave for The Office (something fans have been asking for for years!) is finally here, and it’s just as cool as you think.
You’d be hard pressed these days to find somebody who doesn’t adore this show, or who wouldn’t jump at the opportunity to own a little 4” vinyl figure of Dwight Schrute. I can’t decide if he belongs on the shelf with the rest of the collection, or on the desk at work… just to remind everyone that you’re #1.
Pre-order him here for $18.99, or in a bundle with the rest of the collection for $107.94.
What did you think of our list? Do you have a personal favourite of Feb/March that didn’t make the cut? Leave us a comment!
Until next time, happy collecting, everyone!
Action Figure: Disney Afternoon - Huey/Dewey/Louie (Target)

Pop! Disney: Incredibles 2 - Voyd (Walmart)

Pop! Disney: The Lion King - Shenzi/Banzai/Ed (Amazon)

I am way over-hyped for that Lion King 3-pack, if not only due to my hype surrounding the live action film... what do you guys think?

The Pop! showcases in bright and bursting colours one of the most iconic scenes from Disney's Fantasia, when the sorcerer's apprentice Mickey uses his fumbling newfound magic to control the waves as they crash around him.
We're not gonna lie: this one looks pretty awesome. The detailing on the waves is awesome, but sometimes you just can't fault a classic look, and this Mickey certainly takes the cake.

It's not due until the 31st of January 2019 (which is way closer than we're comfortable with) but can pre-order it here for $49.99.

Rock Candy: Disney Comfy Princesses – Pocahontas
Personally, I'm super excited to see where Funko goes with these new princess designs, since the hype of that trailer is still so real. A Pop! line in the future perhaps? Maybe for another convention!

]]>The sub boxes began back in 2015 with the launch of the Marvel Collector Corps for Avengers: Age of Ultron and Star Wars: Smuggler’s Bounty for The Force Awakens. The next two launches were the first Funko LoC box in 2016 with DC: Legion of Collectors for Batman vs. Superman, and the first Disney Treasures box with ‘Pirate Cove’ in 2017.
What really draws collectors in about these boxes is their rarity. No, we don’t mean that they’re impossible to find— although sometimes, it really does feel like pulling teeth trying to find a decent price and release date. It is the rarity of the actual items inside, however, which has led to so much positive attention.
For the first time, Funko fans (and fans of pop culture and Pop! Vinyls alike) were able to purchase 100% exclusive products that weren’t available anywhere else on a regular, subscription-based schedule. Most of the items in these boxes still aren’t available on their own at retail!
If you’re a funatic (and haven’t been living under a rock), then you’ve no doubt heard that Funko have discontinued their subscription boxes. They announced around February 2018 that ‘Adventures’ would be the last Disney sub box, making ‘Ever After’ the second last.
The boxes haven’t disappeared completely, however: they’re now available with specific retailers, rather than just to subscribed customers. This is great news for us Aussie funatics, as it means a massive increase in the availability of these exclusive products! That being said, sometimes you just can’t fault a good exclusive, and Funko haven’t held back at all with Ever After, one of their last ‘subscription’ boxes ever!
Let’s get into the contents of the Ever After box! Here’s what goodies are packed inside:

You can argue that all Disney fans have a bit of a romantic streak in us by definition, and this box was perfect for that inner sap! I’ll definitely be adding the pocket Pop! Keychains to my car keys (like they’re not getting absurdly crowded as it is) or, alternatively, setting them up with a spaghetti candlelit dinner for those impromptu Pop! Photoshoots. (I have a life, I swear.)

The patch and the pin are classic and timeless, too, and it was great to see the amount of detail that went into these. Lumiere is the prototypical Disney romantic ideal, so I wasn’t surprised to find him in this box! Daisy and Donald, as well, are one of the much loved OG pairings when it comes to us Disney nerds. I think this is one we’ll all be torn up about for all the right reasons! I’m tempted to keep it in its original packaging, but it’s just one of those things that you know will look fantastic on a backpack or a denim jacket, too. Help, I’m running out of room!

Hands down the best part of this box has to be the 2-pack. The Eric and Ariel 2-pack features a romantic rendition of the couple in their wedding ensembles. The moulds are classic and the designs are flawless. I especially cannot get over how movie-accurate Ariel’s wedding dress looks! Something about it is very nostalgic: I distinctly remember owning a paper doll of Ariel around the time of the movie’s popularity and obsessively dressing and undressing her into the 2D rendition of this big, poofy gown… it’s just one of those ageless Disney classics that can’t be faulted for the period of its release and still carries well into today’s princess aesthetic.

I, of course, can’t speak on behalf of all Disney fans, but I think it’s safe to say that this one was a winner! It has been such an awesome past year for the Disney princess revivals; it’s great to see that we’re moving away from old design habits and introducing new elements like the diamond glitter range and the much-appreciated re-releases of some classic favourites like what we’ve seen this year with Aladdin and Hercules. Here’s hoping to see a little more of this in future Disney boxes!
Overall, the Ever After box gets a solid 4 stars from me. Even the packaging on this one is a winner! If you haven’t gotten your hands on one yet, there are still a few left here. They’re on sale at the moment for $60, so make sure you get your hands on one before they’re gone forever after!
What did you think of this box? And what is your inner Disney nerd hoping for from future releases? We love hearing your thoughts, so let us know in the comments!
Happy collecting, everyone.

Inside you’ll find this exclusive Captain Hook and Tick Tock exclusive. This was a total blast from the past for me— I love Peter Pan, and Funko have totally hit the nail on the head with this one. I can hear the ticking now…

The box also comes with a whole lot of other goodies, including a Mystery Mini, Pop! Pen Topper, and this exclusive Diablo Pocket Pop! keychain.

The verdict? This delightfully dark and exclusive treasure trove is a must for any Disney fan.
The box is limited in quantity and set to arrive later this month, but if you hurry, you can pre-order it here for $75.00.
What do you guys think of the new Disney box? And what are you hoping for from the next one? Tell us in the comments below!
Happy weekend, collectors!
